Carefully open the package and place the panels on a flat clean floor with the picture side up. When installing, avoid contact with hard or sharp objects and make sure that the visible sides of the panels do not rub against each other.

Aqua-Step SPC products

The Aqua-Step collection includes various waterproof products. The Aqua Click Tiles, SPC tiles in two sizes, and Aqua-Step XL, wide SPC panels of 260 cm long, can be applied to the floor as well as against the wall. SPC window sills and sheet material are also available. The Vinyluxe SPC flooring products are available in various versions in wood decors as well as high-gloss and ultra matt uni colours. Aqua-Step products can be easily combined due to the uniform patterns.

Finish and maintenance

For finishing use a moisture resistant silicone or glue a suitable SPC or PVC profile or skirting onto the panels. Holes for piping, screws or joinings: drill the holes first in the panels before glueing them. Use an appropriate tool. The diameter of the holes must be at least 10 mm larger than the hose or joining. Fill the hole up with moisture resistant silicone after fixing the panels. For finishing in a shower (or a basin) use a moisture resistant silicone between wall and shower tray. Clean the panels with a moist cloth and a mild cleaning product. Never clean the surface of the panels with polish, wax, varnish, bleach, scouring pads, wire wool, abrasives, or cleansing agents that contain abrasives or bleach.

Installation on the wall

First degrease the wall and the back of the panels. Take a ruler and a spirit level and draw a reference line with a pencil before starting the fitting. Leave an expansion joint of 5mm open on all sides. Apply the adhesive with a cartridge gun on the back of the panel all around and in the middle as shown in fig. 2. Press the panel for 5 seconds after fitting. Keep a cleaning product at hand for removing excess adhesive. When fitting on a plaster board base make sure the joints of the panels do not coincide with the seams of the plaster boards. Apply adhesive to the second panel and click the long side into the first panel. Check after every row if the seams are perfectly aligned and if the panels are still level before the adhesive is dry. Aqua-Step transparent silicone can be applied in the joint of the long side of the panels to ensure extra watertightness in the shower corner.

Installation instructions

The following tools are needed: set square, tape measure, spirit level, glue gun, Aqua-Step polymer adhesive, saw or Stanley knife and a pencil. The subsurface must be dry and free from dust and dirt. Check the wall for flatness. The uneveness should not exceed 3mm under a straight ruler of 1 meter, even up if necessary. Inspect the panels before installation for visible defects. Tiles with visible defects should not be  installed. After installation a claim will not be accepted. On the long sides of the panels there is a click joint, they do not have a click joint at the butt end. To join the panels, place the tongue of one panel into the groove of another one under an angle and push it down. Always click the tongue into the groove. Panels can be cut to size using a try square and a Stanley knife by cutting the panel and then breaking it off along the breaking line. Do this on the visible side of the panel. First draw a straight line with a try square.
