Corporate sustainability

HDM processes natural materials and therefore feels responsible for safeguarding and responsibly managing nature. The HDM wall and ceiling panels and many floors have the PEFC quality mark. This quality mark (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) guarantees that exclusively PEFC-certified wood is used for HDM´s panels.

The emission of formaldehyde in all MDF or HDF basic panels meets the E1 class requirements.

Green energy

In March 2011 HDM had nearly 6,000 m2 of solar panels installed on the roof of its warehouse in Peer, an investment of over 2 million euros. The panels generate enough electricity to run over 200 homes.
